| With effect from 29 July
2010 and as amended in May 2011, the Society adopted the following handicapping system: |
| |

- Score from 24 to 29pts - handicap increased by 1
- Score from 30 to 32pts - handicap increased by 0.5
- Score from 33 to 36pts - handicap unchanged
|
- Score from 37 to 38pts - handicap reduced by 0.5
- Score from 39 to 40pts - handicap reduced by 1
- Score from 41 to 43pts - handicap reduced by 2
- Score 44pts or over - handicap reduced by 3
|
| Half point handicaps
shall be rounded up. In addition, Society
handicaps will not be raised above official club handicaps |
| Where new members do not
have a club handicap, they should indicate their average gross
score and the Committee will decide on a suitable handicap which
will not be higher than 20 for men or 28 for ladies. This
may be revised outside the above rules after two Society rounds. |
