2010 Events

The main Society meetings for 2010 are shown below. Be sure to put the dates in your diary and forward your entry in good time to ensure your place.

• Spring Meeting
  Chelmsford GC: 5 May 2010
  A popular location when we last visited a couple of years ago
  
  
• President's Day
  Woking GC: 1 June 2010
  A long time since we have been to Woking and a warm welcome is guaranteed.
  
  
• Summer Meeting
  Littlestone GC: 25 June 2010
  A visit to the Kent coast and a bracing sea breeze is likely here.
  
  
  
• Captain's Day
  Ashford GC: 29 July 2010
  Staying in Kent we visit Captain Graham Hoy's home course.
  
  
  
  
• Autumn Meeting
  Copthorne GC: 3 Sept 2010
  The season closes at a new course for us in Sussex.

Annual General Meeting

• The Annual General Meeting has been set for Friday 8th October at Birchwood Park GC. As usual this will include a round of golf for the Secretary's Cup and a light lunch. Be sure to be there to ensure your views on the running of the Society are heard.

Special Events

• Hastings Challenge
  The latest Hastings Challenge Match takes place at a new venue - Lamberhurst GC. The date has now been set for 14 April and we shall need a strong team to retain the trophy for the fourth consecutive year.

• Charity Challenge
  The 2010 Charity Event will be in aid of the Brains Trust. It will again be held at the London Club, Kent on Weds 31 March. Be sure not to miss it and give generously either on the day, via the raffle or by online donation - click the button above.

Other Events

The 2010 Mond Cup matchplay knockout competition will be the last where competitors will be selected by their position after the morning round of the Spring Meeting. If you want to take part you will need to be at the meeting. In 2011 the 8 competitors will be sought from the Golfer of the Year table.

The CS Sports Council hold a number of events each year and if you are a member you are entitled to take part. Among them is the Lloyd George Trophy matchplay event and also the Haddow Trophy for which teams are selected from our Society. Let our Secretary know if you want to take part in these.

Whilst the Haddow will take place at the CSSC autumn Meeting on 30 September at Cuddington GC, the CSSC season kicks off on 17 May at West Byfleet for the Spring Meeting. For more information on CSSC events contact the CSSC Golf Secretary - david.sparkes at hmrc.gsi.gov.uk
