The London team were victorious again in the Hastings Challenge Cup which was played at Lamberhurst Golf Club for the first time.
It was tight match though with Hastings going up 2 and half to a half after the first three matches. But then London turned on the heat winning the next four matches before Hastings took the last match.
The result was a 41/2 to 31/2 match win for London, a much closer affair than it has been in the past.
Being early in the season, the greens had recently been tyned making putting a bit of a lottery, which many players found reason to grumble about. Whilst it stayed dry, the temperature was low and a constant breeze made it feel colder - although one Hastings member was adamant it was not cold (he is Scottish!).
