It's Will for the third time
Will Donaldson took the Golfer of the Year title for the third time at the Autumn Meeting despite not adding to his total of 175 points.
It was theoretically possible for Will to be caught but his closest rivals would have to score well over 40 points. However, down in 16th place, Andrew Gardner who had only completed four rounds could have pipped Will had he scored 40 points at the Autumn Meeting. Alas, even with a handicap increase, he could only manage 32 points but still secured third spot.
Vince Rossiter managed to sneak into 2nd with an excellent 39 points at Wrotham with Mark Hitchen securing 4th spot.
The rules state that the top 12 of the GOTY table will be entered into the Mond Cup competition for the following year. However, with 4 members tied on 158 points in 10th place, that means there will be 13 contenders in the Mond unless one member decides to drop out.
